Where to Begin?

Well, you can guess by my lack of blog entries that I've been rather busy this past week. Luckily for you (if you're looking to read my blog), I'm having trouble sleeping so I've got some spare time to post.

Just came from seeing Slumdog Millionaire. Won't write much as am not in the mood to reveal my inner most thoughts on the film and the state of the world. I'd recommend it though. Hmm there is a super weird video on right now - not sure the band but it's fronted by former (and once again? not sure) Smashing Pumpkins front man, Bily Corgan - was that his name?

What else? Continuing to juggle commitments and adjust to the daily changes. At the primary school I took a bunch of groups of 5-7 grade 2s and read over different stories with them. Oh, it's Tarantula by Smashing Pumpkins, weird laser eye Corgan - I think you were supposed to be wearing 3D glasses for that one.
Right, obviously I'm distracted by the terrible loud rock music on in the background.

I did a lot of prep work on fractions and most of it went to waste for now. My star fraction pupil is no longer in need of my assistance but managed to get away with my notes. As much as I love fractions, I think I'll stick to making alphabets. That illustrated alphabet I made is a huge hit. Problem is, kids who know the alphabet want to use it and not do their other work. Oh well, I can honestly say I believe I'm helping to make progress with the 3 youngest ones.

Been doing a few different things at Research Africa of late. Considering I've only got 2 weeks left, I better start making a serious contribution. Or should I be spending more time at the beach? No, no, that's what New Zealand and Fiji are for.

Still need to get my ribs. Perhaps this weekend, it might be rainy? Could use something to break the heat, although at this point, it is what it is.

Hope you've enjoyed this disjointed, random posting.

Not really sure what else to say but peace out?

For the record, I have sleep deprivation, dehydration and a severe caffeine addiction to credit for my current writing skills.

  1. I can't believe you've only got 2 weeks left there! What on Earth has happened to the time!

P.S. I hope you get to do all the poll options - they sound dreamy.
