Questionable Analogy

'You can be a secret agent of God, like the secret police.'
I'm paraphrasing but that was the phrase that knocked the wind out of me as I stood listening to a nun speak to the class of 7-16 year-olds at one of the places I volunteer. Now her point was that you can worship God and influence people positively with your faith following way of life without being publicly/in your face about God and religion. This is what I think she was trying to say but I'm going to call the mention of the secret police a horrific comparison.

In other news, I bunked my volunteer responsibilities today in favour of a morning hike and just some low key hanging about. I hiked the Elephant Eye route and it felt great to be back out in nature. It was a good test for the knee, which held up fairly well. I'll let you know how it feels tomorrow.

The rest of the day was full of home style drama, from biting dogs, to kids accidents, to pouring dog food into the dog's water bowl and having a good time catching up with friends on skype. Skype is the future and the future is now. Just in case you didn't know.

That's about it. I'm sensing another early night. Got to get my brain ready for my farewell assignment at my internship.

Happy Wednesday
