So far so good. Yes there were the requisite delays...including being rerouted through Paris (so much for direct) to pick up people whose flight was cancelled. I mean I guess that makes sense all things considered. Day one of our program wide meeting was today and it was pretty great. Lots of discussion, great to meet everyone, lots of joking and I was asked about Justin Bieber. My colleague and I agreed that we knew of him but his music wasn't really our style.
Everyone at the meetings has great insight to share and it is interesting to see how everyone interacts. Some people are finding the Ethiopian spices a little tough on the stomach, others have altitude concerns (me included), many are finding it chilly despite the beautiful sunshine but all of us seem happy to be here.
Some of you know I was on a quest for unoffensive pyjamas as there was a good chance I would be sharing a room. Well, I have my own room, complete with kettle, fridge, stove, stove top espresso maker, microwave, shower, toilet with that hose that I'm never quite sure what to do with, tv and bed. So my newly purchased pj bottoms are luckily being kept to myself for now. I just noticed there is the occasional squirrel on them...So much for unoffensive.
One thing to note, in this extremely religious country, I opened the bedside table to look for a Bible, only to find a pack of condoms. I wish I could say the same of Lesotho. I think I'll wait until my last day to take the package as a souvenir. I don't want the the housekeeper to think there is any mischief going on.
Bedtime for bonzos...I have to lead another team building activity tomorrow and I'm taking minutes (Tara...you know what a disaster this is). Being the new kid certainly has it's drawbacks. At least I'm here!

Well, maybe your coworker hasn't seen these new PJs but your followers would like to!
